主讲嘉宾简介：
许弘雷教授是澳大利亚科廷大学电子工程、计算机及数学科学学院正教授兼科研副院长(Director of Research)，曾任贵州大学教授、中南大学教授、华中科技大学楚天学者特聘教授、福建闽江学者讲座教授。现为澳大利亚运筹协会理事长，亚太运筹联合会理事长，太平洋优化研究组主席，IEEE控制系统协会西澳分会理事长，五个国际会议主席，二十余个国际会议的组织委员或程序委员。担任Journal of Applied Mathematics主编(Chief Editor)，Journal of Industrial and Management Optimization常务副主编(Managing Editor)，以及Dynamics of Continuous, Discrete and Impulsive Systems B、Nonlinear Dynamics & Systems Theory等国际杂志副主编或编委。主编Springer图书3部、国际会议论文集3部、SCI国际杂志的特刊十余期，发表学术论文百余篇，多次受邀到国际会议做大会或邀请报告。
讲座主要内容：
Open-pit mine planning is a complex, large-scale optimization problem with significant implications for the economic viability and environmental impact of mining operations. Traditional approaches often rely on static block models and heuristic techniques, which may not fully capture the dynamic and intertemporal aspects of mining activities. In this talk, I will discuss an optimal control formulation for open-pit mine planning problems. This model includes not only the calculation of economic benefits in the objective function but also incorporates operational constraints. Next, I integrate buffer stockpiles to address long-term planning tasks and extend the planning horizon accordingly. I then explore various numerical strategies and computational techniques from optimal control theory, such as control parametrization and automatic differentiation. Finally, I will present numerical simulation results to demonstrate the usefulness and effectiveness of the proposed models.
