Jiangnan University Deepens Collaboration with Dutch Universities

From November 13 to 14, 2024, the China-Netherlands Forum on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Digital Era 2024 hosted by the School of Business at Jiangnan University, was successfully held in Wuxi. During the forum, the School of Business invited Professor Wessel Meijer, Director of International Office at Tilburg University; Professor Frans Greidanus, former Senior Advisor at Tilburg University and Professor at Zhejiang University and Jiangnan University; and Associate Professor Zhang Yingqian from Eindhoven University of Technology for a visit and exchange. Professor Pu Xujin, Dean of the School of Business, Associate Professor Meng Fanbo, Assistant of Dean, and other relevant staff members welcomed the guests and participated in the exchange activities.

During the discussion, Professor Pu Xujin extended a warm welcome to the three professors and expressed sincere gratitude to Professor Frans Greidanus for his outstanding contributions to promoting academic exchange and cooperation between Jiangnan University, Tilburg University, and Eindhoven University of Technology.

In the subsequent in-depth discussions, the two sides engaged in detailed talks on topics such as undergraduate student exchanges, short-term study programs, joint education programs, and dual degree programs. Based on the basic conditions of students and academic systems, the two sides reached a preliminary cooperation agreement regarding undergraduate student exchanges and further education opportunities. Both parties expressed their intention to continue following up on these discussions with the goal of turning these cooperation intentions into concrete actions, thereby advancing their international educational collaboration to new heights.

This visit and exchange activity was an important part of the China-Netherlands Forum and also represents the further deepening and expansion of the cooperative relationship between the two sides, following the signing of an MOU during Jiangnan University’s visit to Tilburg University, Eindhoven University of Technology, and the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science in the Netherlands in November last year.
