On the morning of November 4th, Associate Prof. Paul Kalfadellis, Vice Dean of International Relations at Monash University’s Business School, Ms. Tracy De Silva, Senior Coordinator for Global Programs and Partnerships, and Mr. Huy Bui, Senior Officer for Student Services, visited Jiangnan University. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Pu Xujin, Dean of School of Business, and Ms. Cai Jianying, Deputy Director of the International Office. And Key personnel from the Office of International Office and the School also participated in the meeting.
Prof. Pu warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed gratitude for Monash University’s significant contributions and strong support for their collaborative academic programs. Assistant of Dean, Associate Prof. Meng Fanbo provided a report on the history and achievements of the joint programs with Monash University.
Ms. Cai briefly introduced the progress of the joint project application and reviewed over twenty years of cooperation and exchanges between Jiangnan University and Monash University, highlighting the successes of Business Administration (Sino-Foreign Joint Program). She expressed hope for continued close communication and further strengthening of the partnership, expanding the areas of cooperation, and enhancing the level of collaboration between the two institutions.
Associate Prof. Kalfadellis expressed his delight in visiting Jiangnan University and thanked the university for its warm reception. He praised the achievements of their joint Business Administration program, noting that he was eager to explore further opportunities for cooperation at the master’s level, contributing to students’ academic progression and career development after graduation.
During the round-table discussion, both parties engaged in an in-depth conversation about cooperation at the master’s level, discussing topics such as teaching arrangements for the upcoming academic year and the development of program students. They also outlined plans for future collaboration.
After the meeting, Associate Prof. Kalfadellis, on behalf of Monash University, provided a detailed introduction to the campus life and learning environment for the 2022 and 2024 cohorts in the Business Administration (Sino-Foreign Joint Program). He also showcased Monash University’s extensive alumni network and its potential to provide various support services to students, aiding their career development. He encouraged students to prepare thoroughly for their upcoming studies and life at Monash University.
The Business Administration (Sino-Foreign Joint Program) between Jiangnan University and Monash University has produced numerous outstanding graduates who have made significant contributions to society. These graduates, equipped with an international perspective, have been recognized by both students and the broader community. In recent years, graduates of the program have returned to various regions of China, excelling in their careers and giving back to society with the knowledge and skills they acquired.
