From December 6th to 7th, Professor Li Tianxing, a tenured faculty member at Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan, China, visited our School of Business for a collaborative discussion on the AACSB international certification initiative. Holding a Ph.D. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, USA, Professor Li brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as Vice President and Dean of the College of Management at Fu Jen Catholic University, and as a visiting professor at several prestigious universities, both nationally and internationally.

The AACSB Accreditation Progress Working Meeting on December 6th witnessed the participation of Professor Li Tianxing, alongside Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President Du Guocheng, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office Cai Jianying, Secretary of the School of Business Liu Changqing, Dean Pu Xujin, Vice Dean Wang Lei, Associate professor Meng Fanbo, and other staff from the certification office at Jiangnan University.

During the meeting, Vice President Du Guocheng extended a warm welcome to Professor Li Tianxing, expressing appreciation for his valuable guidance and revision recommendations provided during the initial self-assessment report stage. Subsequently, Dean Pu Xujin presented an overview of the current development of the School of Business, and Associate professor Meng Fanbo outlined the progress and future work plan of the School in AACSB accreditation. Professor Li Tianxing acknowledged the effectiveness of the preliminary AACSB accreditation efforts and offered high-level guidance on our certification endeavors.

In the afternoon, Professor Li Tianxing conducted a training session for faculty members of the School of Business, focusing on two critical aspects of AACSB accreditation: quality assurance systems and faculty qualifications. Systematically elucidating the accreditation standards' requirements and operational precautions, Professor Li assisted faculty members in gaining a comprehensive understanding of the relevant standards, identifying existing challenges, and outlining directions for improvement.

The training session covered the learning assurance system and faculty qualification classification, providing detailed insights into the accreditation standards' requirements and operational considerations. This facilitated a nuanced understanding among faculty members, enabling them to recognize existing challenges and define clear directions for improvement.

On the morning of December 7th, Professor Li Tianxing engaged in in-depth discussions with key personnel and participants from the School of Business, focusing on specific issues and weaknesses identified in the preliminary self-assessment report. Practical suggestions for improvement were provided, with discussions centered around strategic planning, faculty qualifications, teaching processes, and social impact. These discussions significantly contributed to the preparation of the School's AACSB progress report.

The AACSB accreditation exchange meeting has further fortified the faculty's comprehension of AACSB international certification, laying a robust foundation for the progression of AACSB certification at our institution. Through this exchange, the faculty's understanding of AACSB international accreditation has been deepened, establishing a solid groundwork for the upcoming stages of the college's AACSB accreditation promotion efforts.
