Recently, the AACSB Asia Pacific Accreditation Conference was successfully held in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Professor Pu Xujin, Dean of the School of Business, and Associate Dean Meng Fanbo were invited to attend the conference, joining representatives from business schools across the Asia Pacific region to engage in in-depth discussions on accreditation standards and emerging trends in business education.
This year’s conference marked the 110th anniversary of AACSB International, one of the world’s most established and influential accreditation bodies in business education. AACSB has long been committed to advancing the quality and continuous improvement of global business education. Centered on the theme “Global Standards for Business Education,” the conference provided participating institutions with a valuable platform to deepen their understanding of accreditation standards and key processes.
During the conference, Professor Pu Xujin held discussions with Mr. Geoff Perry, Executive Vice President and Chief Officer for Asia Pacific, the Americas, and Membership at AACSB, regarding School’s accreditation progress. Professor Pu also shared an update on the School’s ongoing AACSB accreditation progress with participants. The School is steadily advancing its accreditation plan and is expected to enter the peer review visit stage as scheduled in 2027 .
Participation in this conference further strengthened the School’s understanding of AACSB standards and accreditation processes, while also providing valuable insights and experience for the next phase of its accreditation work. Leveraging international accreditation as a strategic opportunity, the School will continue to align with global business education standards, enhance its quality assurance system, and further strengthen talent cultivation and internationalization efforts, thereby contributing new momentum to its high-quality development.
