The Second Session of "School of Business Wuxi Alumni Salon" was Held by the School of Business Jiangnan University and Wuxi Alumni Association

In order to better gather alumni strength and resources, promote interaction and connection among alumni families, and help alumni cultivate children who have ideals, responsibilities, competitiveness, ambition, and a sense of happiness perception, the Jiangnan University Business School Wuxi Alumni Association specially invited the Secretary-General of our MBA Alumni Association and the mother of a newly admitted undergraduate student at Cambridge, Wang Qing, to host a thematic sharing session on "Effective Communication and Building Dreams" for the alumni. At 2 p.m. on April 14th, in Room 304 of the school, nearly 30 alumni brought their children to participate in the event.

Wang Qing shared valuable experiences in daily communication, communication during school, and communication during adolescence. She pointed out that in daily communication, parents should appreciate and genuinely love their children, and give them love and respect. She believes that the principle of communication with children is nonviolent communication, and the secret of communication with children can be written communication, such as writing a diary together or regularly writing letters to children. Wang Qing also shared her own summary of the "434" rule to stimulate children's self-drive in school communication, including "four actions for going to school," "three manifestations of self-drive," and "four paths to cultivating home-school communication." In the section on communication during adolescence, Wang Qing summarized the manifestations of adolescence at different ages and provided corresponding targeted communication solutions and techniques.

After the sharing session, alumni opened up discussions on "how to effectively communicate with children." They gathered together regardless of age or occupation, freely expressing their thoughts and giving heartfelt advice to each other. Many expressed that although they may be separated by several generations, being brought together by "Jiangnan Business School" made them feel like old friends, part of the same family. The alumni highly praised this event, and Wang Qing's sharing provided direct guidance for their actions, allowing them to express the pressures, anxieties, and difficulties of family, parenting, and work. The Jiangnan University Business School Wuxi Alumni Association will continue to focus on its mission, building better platforms and carriers for connection among alumni, between alumni and the alma mater, and between alumni and current students, making more positive contributions and providing services for the high-quality construction and development of the school, talent cultivation, and alumni growth.
