The School of Business Holds a Plenary Meeting for the New Semester's Work

To better advance the tasks for the new semester, coordinate and plan the deployment of various work streams, and on the first day of the semester, the Business School convened a plenary meeting for the new semester's work in Room 304 of the school. The meeting focused on Jiangnan University's "Striving Forward Plan" and the Business School's eighth-term goals, conducting in-depth discussions on the revision of performance schemes and the implementation of key tasks for the new semester. Members of the school's leadership team, the dean's assistant, the director of the case center, the director of the discipline construction center, and the chairperson of the school's labor union participated in the meeting. Dean Pu Xujin presided over the meeting.

During the meeting, Pu Xujin interpreted the preliminary draft of the "Implementation Rules for Performance Pay in Jiangnan University Business School," emphasizing a performance-oriented approach, highlighting marginal contributions, adhering to categorized management while considering fairness principles, maintaining overall control while optimizing the structure, and adhering to the principle of breaking and establishing to promote a combination of breaking and establishing. This involves optimizing the assessment structure in terms of job responsibilities, teaching and research, and management services to further leverage the motivating role of performance evaluation. In conjunction with the actual situation of the school, leaders at the meeting engaged in in-depth discussions. Subsequently, leaders in charge of various departments elaborated on new ideas for their respective responsibilities and made arrangements for the start of the semester.

With a strong wind in the sails and a vigorous spirit, the meeting aimed to unite hearts, consolidate efforts, and strengthen confidence. The plenary meeting further clarified the focus of the School's work, incorporating the ideas of stability through progress, using progress to stabilize, and establishing breakthroughs after a solid foundation, laying the groundwork for a successful start to the new semester.
