On September 29, the School of Business held a briefing session on the 2025 Overseas Exchange Programs and a study tour experience sharing event for undergraduate students in Room 117 of the School. The event was hosted by Liu Shujiao, Secretary for International Exchange of the School.
Focusing on the three key areas of “enhancing global talent cultivation and attraction,” “expanding international academic and educational cooperation,” and “actively engaging in global education governance,” Liu provided a detailed introduction to the School’s initiatives for overseas student exchange. She elaborated on joint programs with international institutions, overseas study and short-term immersion programs, credit transfer policies, and the application process. She highlighted that studying abroad not only helps students rapidly improve language skills in an immersive environment, but also gives them access to high-quality global educational resources, fosters innovative thinking, and supports personal growth in cultural understanding and soft skills development. She concluded by offering three pieces of advice: first, take initiative in learning and communicate actively with mentors; second, step out of your comfort zone and build emotional resilience; and third, enhance competitiveness through academic competitions and high-value certifications.
Xu Yanni, cohort of 2024, majoring Business Administration (Sino-foreign Joint Program) shared her experience participating in the 2025 “Discover Jiangsu”International Summer School, using the metaphor of “opening blind boxes” to describe her gains in knowledge, culture, and global vision. Whether engaging in business case practices outside the classroom or exploring cultural charm with international peers, she said these experiences revealed to her the most significant “blind box”—a broadened global perspective. “This journey gifted us a wider world and endless possibilities for the future,” she reflected.
Jin Han,cohort of 2023, majoring Finance shared her study tour at The Chinese University of Hong Kong through the “Kunpeng Program”—the Jiangsu Provincial Scholarship for Outstanding Undergraduates’ Overseas Summer Study. She introduced the application requirements and procedures, and provided detailed descriptions of classroom experiences, curriculum design, and event arrangements during her stay in Hong Kong. Her vivid stories about classroom interactions and daily life resonated strongly with the audience. “This experience made me aware of my limitations in English, but also helped me build a more global perspective through cultural exchange. It is undoubtedly a valuable asset in my life,” she said.
This session served not only as an experience-sharing event but also as an inspiring career development lesson. In recent years, the School has built multiple platforms to help students connect with the world—such as overseas study tour sharing sessions, IELTS training camps, and global education fairs. The School hopes to see more students step onto the global stage and embrace broader opportunities ahead.
